DJ Burns opened for Deadmau5. I really recorded this to test out the HD recording on my camera. It was my first concert video with the new camera and so this one is the best quality, but it did take up a lot of space which is why the rest aren't as clean as this one. Video recorded using my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 with HD recording. This replaced the TZ1 which had good audio and the TZ5 which had horrible audio. I have figured out I was recording on the wrong setting so subsequent videos will be in better quality.

As you can see the quality is amazing and there is NO ANNOYING BUZZING like on my previous Canon SD780. This is the camera I ended up getting after I returned the Canon because of the noise. So far I have been completely happy with my purchase. I think it's an amazing camera and I especially love the 12x OPTICAL, yes I said optical, zoom that WORKS even WHEN FILMING, yes I said works when filming. Divorce is not always the sad event that people that make it out to be. For those that have endured years of physical or mental abuse or have just had enough of their spouse, divorce is relief. It is a chance at a new beginning. It is a chance to reinvent yourself and learn new things about yourself. And what better way to celebrate your divorce then with a party! There are a few steps you should take to make your party a raging success.

First off, make sure everyone you invite knows that this is a fun upbeat party to celebrate your divorce. It is not a night to hash out what ifs and what could have been. There is no pity party or need to walk on egg shells. The divorce party is a chance for you and your friends to celebrate your single life! Make sure that they know that you are not looking for a blind date or to be set up or fixed, you just want to have fun and enjoy being single.

Avoid scoping out a partner at your party; you will probably regret it later. And while some wine or champagne is a nice way to celebrate, avoid consuming too much alcohol. Remember that alcohol is a depressant and you may think or feel things that you'll regret in the morning.

Divorce can be a wonderful experience, that's why you are throwing a divorce party to begin with. Sure, you might get a few odd stares at first, but keep your head up and stay positive. Not everyone will understand your desire to throw a party, but it's about you, not them!

Here's tonight's SU99 which passed the Maywood Station Museum at about 6:50 PM. Consist is the usual lineup of three Yellow Jackets and a CSX unit. Footage recorded on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 under unfavorable weather conditions: Gusty winds and cloudy skies. Two side notes: There is an ice cream parlor nearby that's frequented heavily due to the hot weather. One family of 6 walked by before the train showed up. The father was pulling his 4 kids in a wagon train toy. When the train was about to pass another woman stood on the sidewalk, off camera with her son just after their trip to the ice cream store. Kid looked to be my age when I began to like trains (4 to five years old). Soon he'll want the whole basement for himself to set up a large layout!

This is a combination of several clips taken with my Panasonic DMC-GF1 and my Panasonic DMC-ZS3. I used the 20 mm and 14-45 mm lenses for the GF1. The original file shows that the ZS3 has much more noise than the GF1. However, the youtube compression might mask that. The 14-45 and 20 mm lenses have similar video output. However, the 20 mm has almost no noise where the 14-45 has some noise that may or may not be visible on youtube. Both cameras and lenses are very good at taking video. However, my favorite is the 20 mm with the GF1 just because it produces great noise free video in any light.

October 6, 2010 WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS IN A CHLORINATED POOL AND DO NOT QUENCH A SUN HEATED HANDPAN IN WATER! Lance and I had been talking about a Halo baptism for several months. Central Texas is known for mild fall weather and this day was no exception. Since the Halo is made of steel we knew we needed a warm sunny day so that it would dry quickly to reduce the chance of oxidation. Even on this October day a few minutes in the sun made the tuning drift and the surface too hot to touch (it returned to standard pitch when placed in the shade). If you try this at home make 100% sure the handpan is completely dry afterward. Water will collect under the flange ring and could cause rust. For hang and BElls you must apply heat using a hair dryer or something similar. The halo has a rubber flange cover that can gently be removed and replaced with care after drying with a cloth. The video was recorded in AVCHD Lite on a Panasonic DMC -ZS3 "Lumix" snap-shot camera. The audio on an Olympus LS-10 linear recorder. The two files were mated using IMovie software but this caused video quality loss when posted to YouTube. The Halo is made by Pantheon Steel halo.pantheonsteel.com
